A standalone experimental module — a workbench for an idea that hasn't yet decided which family it belongs to. Terra explores slow generative terrain: a state-space wandering tool that may later seed an entire family of its own, or may stay a one-off oddity. Either is fine.
Terra is released under SHLabs' "research" track: a module that exists primarily to test an idea, with the documentation, panel polish, and worked examples following the source code rather than preceding it. It's shipping working — patch it in, hear what it does — but the formal description on this page will fill in as the module itself stabilizes.
If you patch in a copy and have thoughts (it's surprising; something is off; this should be a knob, not a switch), the feedback is genuinely useful in deciding whether Terra grows into its own family or stays singular.
